Framing Love

I had the privilege of being part of the Framing Love exhibit at THEARC. It was some of the most fun I’ve had all semester. Some pretty amazing people trusted me enough to let me take their portraits. The exhibit was part of collaboration between the Corcoran New Media Students and THEARC community. Another component of the project was to give talented students a disposable camera and tell them to frame the people they love. The results were incredible. The show will be on display until May 26, so go check it out! Thank you Tara Malik,Becky Harlan, and Paul Bothwell for putting together this project.

Morningstars // Durango Co

It was a cold 14-degree day, but the Morningstars were not to be detoured. It was Easton’s first birthday party! To guard against the cold we built a fire, brought blankets, and made hot tea. (Thanks Aldertons!) Even Easton laughed though the cold, a true Colorado boy.

The pictures turned out beautifully! Thanks for making my job easy, you are a beautiful family.

Dominique and Marissa

Dominique and Marissa are two charming, beautiful sisters. They come from the land of Texas where they are enjoying being high school seniors. Marissa is a watercolor painter and pianist. Dominique has a passion for people and it shows on her face, especially her smile. I can’t wait to see what these two girls do as they grow and make their way in the world.

A Walker Winter Picnic

I’ve made a lot of memories with the Walker girls. Back from when we first met in high school to being college roommates with Jenny and Stephanie. So when Stephanie asked me to take portraits of her and her family you can imagine my excitement.  Our inspiration was winter picnics and, of course, Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women.  After ravaging our parents houses for picnic essentials and making some of my “oh so delicious” hot chocolate, we headed up the mountain carrying our loot. My Sister Kristy also came along, snapping photographs like a pro; she is quite good with a camera. The whole adventure was a smashing success and produced photographs of which I am most proud.
